Clayton Rakes!
Clayton Rakes was started by Brady, then 7, and Brooklyn, then 5, in honor of their dad, Chris, who loved yard work. After his ALS diagnosis in 2020, they felt helpless, but instead of giving in, they asked, “What better way to honor Dad than to start raking neighbors’ leaves and asking for donations?” Three years later and over $225k in donations, they’ve built something powerful.
This year, they’re introducing a National Day of Raking on November 2nd, Chris’ birthday. You can get involved by creating your own team and raking for ALS in your neighborhood or simply by donating. Even if you can’t rake, you can still make a huge difference! Remember, ALS isn’t incurable—it’s underfunded. Every dollar raised supports ALS-TDI, the world’s only research center solely dedicated to finding a cure for ALS.
This year, Clayton Rakes’ goal is to raise $100k, and we won’t stop until we reach it.
